What's behind the Aktileda philosophy...
	A lifetime of engineering, theatre and events is the foundation Aktileda Marketing is built on. Before we settled in Hermanus we had world class events like DSF - Dubai and the World Summit Opening Ceremony under our belt. We had corporate clients like Vodaworld in Jo'burg. And in the world of music, The Spice Girls, Roxy Music and Robbie Williams were among our most notable clients. Bringing this range of experience together into a single focused unit was the challenge. Creating cost effective, no-nonsense, hassle-free marketing is the objective.
	Although our industry experience stretches back to the 70's, the story of Aktileda only began in 2004 when the Civic Auditorium opened in Hermanus. We managed the venue complex for the first 2 years of it's life, and staged a wide range of theatre productions, concerts, gala evenings, exhibitions and events during our tenure. To this day we still use the venue for our serious productions. Though we are a marketing company, we stage theatre shows just for the love of it. The Municipality at the time were very keen to develop their Civic Auditorium, and find ways to make it useful for all the communities of Hermanus. So we established a youth project called "The ArabecA Project", to encourage the region's wealth of talented young performers to take to the stage in our productions. We supported and ran the project until 2018 and discovered several performers along the way who have since joined the world of professional entertainment. Our activities were not restricted to the Civic though. At various venues over the years, we've been involved with the Hermanus Whale Festival, staged our own Old Harbour Music Festival and our own Hermanus Wealth series (which is 14 different shows in 9 days!). We also had time to open a recording studio here in SA and an office in the UK. In 2016, after recording 14 albums for various musicians on our IMG Eden record label, we decided that it was time to move on and closed our music production.
	Looking for new challenges in 2017 brought a move into main-stream marketing with the associated advertising photography for social media. It was a simple step really, as we had been marketing ourselves for years! By mid-2019 we had established a brace of solid clients and developed a useful range of services. In addition to traditional marketing, we had established a range of video marketing options and were extending our services into event marketing and product activation. In November 2019 we launched a brand new company, Aktileda Marketing Ltd to accommodate it all under one roof. ...and you remember that ArabecA Project? It was there that some of our photographic models began their training. The aim of the project was always to find a route to paid work for creative young people. Now we employ some of them ourselves. As it turned out, our time spent in the world of music has proved to be a benefit to us now. Alongside their music, our performer clients often needed marketing and music video. We decided to offer the music video service again with Aktileda, and immediately got an order from one of our old IMG Eden recording clients. We submitted it for airplay. One thing led to another, and suddenly we were approved suppliers of video to ®M-Net TV Below we've put a few photos from some of the awesome events we were involved with in an earlier life...
