Turns a simple photo...into a marketing statement!
Marketing & advertising is fundamentally a visual experience. The aim is to get a specific message across accurately, in just a few seconds. A graphic image is the only way to do that.
News photo 1 There is a lot of truth in the saying, "A picture speaks 1000 words" but we have to make sure it speaks the right words! To do that we take the basic photo and add graphic design to it. The photo becomes an image. But how do we arrive at images like these, and then turn them into a marketing images?
News photo 1 Below you'll see a selection of images and photos that show the process. The images are for a series of videos we made as the world was going through lock-down. The series was called, It's Time 2. For this series the aim was to create the out-of-proportion or out-of-scale look. We sketched a couple of ideas on the whiteboard and organised a photoshoot. We photographed a selection of various "leaning on" poses with 2 of our models. Then we set-up a number of the coffee cup and the glass shots in the studio.
In each case we selected the shot of the cup and glass we liked best, then fitted a "leaning" model onto the photo. Then, as usual, put the "hook" text on top.
