Graphic Design 1

Turns a simple photo...into a marketing statement!

Marketing & advertising is fundamentally a visual experience. The aim is to get a specific message across accurately, in a very short time. A still photograph with added graphics or an image created with graphics are the most common methods.
News photo 1 There is a lot of truth in the saying, "A picture speaks a 1000 words" but we have to make sure it speaks the right words! Let's show you how we combine photography and graphics to create images.
News photo 1 Below you'll see a selection of images and photos that show the process. The examples show a training exercise for 2 young models. The aim was to create 2 images that describe an out-of-proportion world. We sketched a couple of ideas on the whiteboard and organised a photoshoot. We photographed a selection of various "leaning on" poses with the 2 models. Then we set-up a number of the coffee cup and the glass shots in the studio.
In each case we selected the shot of the cup and glass we liked best, then fitted a "leaning" model onto the photo. As these are marketing graphics exercises, the final step was to fit the "hook" or slogan text to create the finished image.
You can see the process in the image progressions below.

This kind of operation is a normal part of campaign activation. To learn more about how we use graphic design to make up creatives for campaigns, jump over to our Activation page.
