Your Vlog is playing ... NOW!
This is your sales opportunity
A viewer got as far as opening your Vlog because he trusted the integrity of your advert in the on-line newspaper ... from now on you must follow the content rules.
You've got 3 seconds to hook your viewer's attention and 5 more seconds to convince your viewer to stay ... the conversation can be minutes long but it must be lively and interesting.
HERE'S THE KICKER:
Having gone to all the trouble to get here, if you give that viewer a piece of boring drivel, you will lose your viewer.
Remember ... that viewer you just lost could have been a future customer!
| |
This is why your Vlog is so important
A well prepared Vlog gives you the chance to talk directly to potential customers and help to persuade them to buy your products.
| |
...but it doesn't end there!

A Vlog as the foundation for a campaign
Yet again, let's go back to the beginning...
The current trend of scrolling through social media has made getting incidental website visits all but impossible ... we have Google now.
The problem is that your website is still the best shop window for your business ... sadly though, the truth is that Google doesn't necessarily get the right people to walk past and look in.
Let's show you how we would build a marketing campaign, based on your Vlog, that would both give you the opportunity for a product sales pitch and lead visitors back to your website.
| |
Step 1: Build your foundation
We would script, film and edit your Vlog into an interesting and professional piece of media content.
The script would include references to your website, with a "Learm More" inducement.
We would use some of the film material to create a separate 6 second teaser. This is a high interest info-blast introducing the subject of our Vlog.
| |
Step 2: Build your campaign signposts
Next we would create (and set aside) a series of media posts that include the Vlog teaser, that refer or "point" to the full Vlog (hence signposts).
These posts will, at a later stage, include the URL link to the full Vlog when it's up-loaded to YouTube.
| |
Step 3: Build the newspaper ad's
Next we would create (and set aside) the graphics for the newspaper advert.
The same graphic will be used for both the hard copy (if your newspaper has one) and the on-line version.
Now, we're are good to go...
| |
Step 4: Publication
First: We would book your advert, making sure the Vlog URL is clearly understood and checked by the editorial staff, and confirm the publication date.
Second: We would up-load the Vlog to your YouTube channel and note the Vlog URL.
Third: We would up-date your website to include an item about your Vlog that includes the URL link to the Vlog.
Forth: We would add the Vlog URL to the signposts.
Fifth: On the day of publication we would post the signposts to all your media channels just before your viewers Peak Active Time .
Sixth: We would re-post the signposts at various times every day for the next 7 days.

Basic Vlog campaign - done and dusted
...and that ladies and gentlemen, is a basic Vlog marketing campaign.
To do it right is a lot of work, but it really is an effective form of marketing and advertising.
One question comes to mind though...
Are you sure, I mean absolutely certain, you want (or have the time and skills) to do your own marketing?
